THE swimming pool and gym at Basingstoke Aquadrome are closed this morning (Saturday, August 14) following a power cut.
The team at the leisure park centre announced the closure early this morning, which sees training cancelled for members of the Basingstoke Bluefins swimming club, and the gym and pools also temporarily unavailable to members of the public.
Posting on social media, they said: "We are currently experiencing a power outage so all activities are suspended including swimming lessons, workout classes and the gym is closed.
"We are sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding."
The centre hopes to reopen at 11am.
It comes after owners Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council last month announced that the flumes and lagoon at the Aquadrome would not be open for the summer holidays while it worked to remove asbestos.
