A MAN has been fined £2,483 for he illegally cut down two trees on his property.
Anthony Liam Grace, cut down a sycamore tree and a cypress tree located just inside the rear boundary of his property at some point between January 25, 2018 and August 30 2019.
The 60-year-old of Branksomewood Road, Fleet pleaded guilty to contravening the provisions of the Town and Country Planning Tree Preservation at Basingstoke Magistrates on August 9, 2021.
At the hearing, Mr Grace was fined £1,080. In addition he was ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £108 and to pay court costs of £1,295.
