A town coffee shop celebrated its first birthday on Saturday and Sunday with live music and giving away free balloons and ice creams to visitors.

Willows Coffee House on Church Street had live music during the weekend with a mixture of local Hampshire residents singing at the venue.

A spokesperson for Willows told the Gazette the business is thankful to the community for keeping them going for the whole year.

“We wanted to say thank you to the community. It’s been a great year.”

“On Saturday and Sunday we had live music, colouring competitions and balloons for kids and ice creams for all to celebrate.”

Although the coffee house had a huge gathering on Saturday, poor weather saw a fewer number on Sunday.

But the weather couldn’t dampen the festive spirit inside the store as staff and visitors enjoyed the weekend in style.

Among the singers were local Hampshire singers Chris Holden and Alex Gonzato.
