A Basingstoke woman was arrested on suspicion of being involved in drug dealing after a Popley house was raided this week.

A property on Montserrat Road was raided by Hampshire Constabulary on Wednesday, August 4.

Since then, a 27-year-old Basingstoke woman has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs. She has been questioned by officers and released under investigation.

It comes in connection with an investigation into Class A drugs supply in Southampton that has seen a man charged.

Owen Catton, 29 from Bridge Road, has been charged with two counts of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.

Officers also executed a drugs warrant on Bridge Road in Southampton on the same day as the Popley raid.

Catton appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court yesterday (August 5) and was remanded to next appear at Southampton Crown Court on September 3.
