IT IS A children's television programme that has little ones glued to their screens.

And now fans of Paw Patrol will have the opportunity to get up close to their favourite characters at Festival Place in Basingstoke this summer.

The Nickelodeon show follows the story of six brave puppies captained by tech-savvy ten-year-old boy Ryder.

The Basingstoke shopping centre will host Bricklive Paw Patrol brick trail from Friday, August 20 until Tuesday, August 31.

Experts from Bricklive will use hundreds of thousands of brightly-coloured bricks to build life-sized models of Chaes, Marshall, Skyke and all the gang.

And they will pop up all around Festival Place, ready for youngsters to enjoy. Each model will have an information stand detailing the number of bricks used and how long they took to build.

Families are being invited to track down all the characters using trail maps which will be available to collect around the centre.

Completed maps can be posted in the PAW Patrol post box in the Customer Lounge, where they will be entered into a draw to win a family fun day, featuring prizes from Coal Kitchen, Vue Cinema and PAW Patrol goodies from The Entertainer and Build-a-Bear.
