Tributes have been paid to a father and keen archer who died in a crash on the M3 last month.

Anuj Roka Magar, from Wilmott Way in Winklebury, passed away after his silver Vauxhall Astra left the M3 near to Junction 5 (Hook) on June 17.

He was travelling southbound at around 8.20pm when the single-vehicle collision occurred.

Now, his family have paid tribute to him, saying he was "loving and caring" and had "a big heart".

The father leaves behind his two-and-a-half-year-old son, Aadarsh.

The family said: "Anuj was loving and caring to all family members. He was a great young man with big heart.

“Anuj was very passionate about playing archery. Anuj’s two and a half year-old son Aadarsh and his nieces Samira and Rihasha are also missing him so much.

“Nothing can be the same now you are gone. You will be sorely be missed by all family and friends.

“We would also like to thank all the emergency services who were involved in this incident.”

Police have renewed their witness appeal, urging people with dash cam footage or other useful information to come forward.

A spokesperson told The Gazette: "Officers continue to make enquiries as to the exact circumstances of the collision and are keen to hear from anyone who can assist them.
