SET-UP is underway at All Saints' church in Basingstoke this afternoon (Monday, June 28), where a BBC period drama is filming later today.

Signs were attatched to nearby fences last week, warning residents that parking on the adjacent streets would not be permitted between 10am and 8pm.

On site, locations manager Duncan told our reporter that the crew had been filming at The Vyne national trust property in Sherborne St John this morning, before relocating to the Southern Road venue.

However, signs of period drama could already be spotted, including vintage vehicles and costume.

Catering and equipment vans were also getting set up on site, and car park wardens were directing traffic involved with the shoot.

One member of the All Saints Church team told the Gazette: "It's an interesting process, watching them set it up", however she could not reveal any further information about content or cast.

The BBC has been contacted for more information.

Check back for updates as we get them.
