AN OVERTON man has been released under investigation following a fatal collision on the B3051.

Hampshire police have confirmed that a 35-year-old man for Overton was arrested on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle with “a proportion of a specific controlled drug above the specified limit”.

He has since been released under investigation while officers continue with their enquiries.

Yesterday evening at just after 6pm (June 16), officer were called to reports of a crash on the B3051 near Frost hill, between Kingsclere and Overton.

A collision had taken place on the southbound road involving a black Nissan Qashqai, a grey Skoda Fabia and a black Honda CBR.

Tragically, the motorcyclist, a 59-year-old man from Andover, died at the scene.

His family has been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

Police are now appealing for witnesses to help with the investigation, particularly anyone with dash-cam footage of the collision.
