A Popley man will stand trial accused of causing grievous bodily harm.

Terry Vincent Moore, of Falkland Road, allegedly assaulted the woman in Basingstoke on Saturday (May 29), causing her grievous bodily harm.

The 34-year-old pleaded not guilty at a court hearing on Monday.

He was remanded into custody and will next appear before Winchester Crown Court on June 30.

A man has admitted breaching his restraining order by going to an address in Basingstoke.

Michael Peter Hill, of Cambridge Road in Aldershot, was found in Cambrian Way in Buckskin last Thursday (May 27), after he was banned from entering that road by a restraining order.

Magistrates imposed the restriction on attending the address in December after he admitted assaulting a woman and damaging items in her kitchen.

Appearing before Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court last Saturday (May 29), Hill indicated a guilty plea to breaching the restraining order.

The case was adjourned pending a pre-sentence report, and the 29-year-old will next appear before the same court on July 5.

A man from north Hampshire has admitted assaulting a woman in Hook.

Lewis James Parsons, of Rosemary Gardens in Blackwater, pleaded guilty to the charge of assaulting a woman in Andrews Close on Thursday (May 27).

He further admitted damaging a door and ceiling of her property.

The 29-year-old was released on conditional bail when appearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on Friday (May 28), whilst a pre-sentence report is prepared.

He will next appear before the same court on July 5.

A man has been fined after admitting stealing alcohol and meat from Sainsbury's in Basingstoke.

Perry Richard Lee Clarke, of May Place, pleaded guilty to stealing £85 of goods from the supermarket on February 2.

The 35-year-old was fined £40, ordered to pay costs of £40 and a victim surcharge of £34.

A man has temporarily been banned from driving after he admitted driving whilst drunk and high.

Liam Martin Bean, of Lower Link in St Mary Bourne, was behind the wheel of a Vauxhall Corsa on December 12, 2020, on the B3051 in Ashford Hill whilst over the drink-drive limit.

A blood test showed he had 117 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood - where the legal limit is 80.

It also showed the presence of benzoylecgonine, a breakdown product of cocaine.

Appearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court last Thursday (May 27), the 20-year-old was given an interim driving disqualification whilst the case is dealt with.

He was released on unconditional bail ahead of another court hearing on July 14, for a pre-sentence report.

A man will appear in court next week after admitting speeding near Basingstoke.

Gellert Lorincz, of Knightstone Road in Weston-super-Mare, was clocked driving on the A340 near Monk Sherborne at 79 miles per hour.

The speed limit on that stretch of road is 40mph.

The 29-year-old pleaded guilty via the single justice procedure to the offence, which took place on November 8, 2020, at an earlier hearing.

The case was heard at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court last Saturday (May 29), but it was adjourned for a full court hearing.

Lorincz will appear before Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on June 12.
