There is a heavy police presence in Oakridge tonight following an earlier incident in Westray Close.

Forensic officers from Hampshire Constabulary along with patrol officers are currently conducting their investigations in the residential neighbourhood.

Residents told The Gazette they were aware of an incident that took place earlier this afternoon at around 2pm.

At the scene, a property has been visibly damaged with a smashed window and front door. Though neighbours say the window was smashed in a separate incident.

Hampshire Constabulary has been contacted for comment.
