A FOURTH crash has taken place on Black Dam roundabout, hours after a driver received life changing injuries in the same spot.

One motorist on the Hampshire Driver’s Facebook page warned drivers about the collision at just after 10pm yesterday evening (June 1).

The driver who witnessed the crash wrote: “And another RTC on Black Dam roundabout again as we speak, Van vs Mercedes-Benz.”

It is the fourth crash to take place on the roundabout in the lastest two-day period.

One Facebook user commented on the post, writting: "I live in Black Dam and use the roundabout a lot. Ive lost count of the amount of times I’ve seen cars coming off the M3 and jumping the lights."

Another added: "I use this roundabout all the time and the road markings for those not familiar can be a bit uncertain (our household understands them but you know) then there’s the idiots that cross 3 lanes regardless!"

Yesterday morning at just after 8.15am, two cars were involved in the collision which saw a car overturn and left one driver with life changing injuries.

South Central Ambulance Service said that they sent the critical care car from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance, to treat a male in his 70s who was taken to Basingstoke hospital.

On Monday two crashes occurred and police were called to clear the roundabout after a collision between a Jeep and a Ford Focus.

The crash was reported to have happened just before 12pm on the A339 ringway.

Police cordoned off part of the roundabout while the road was cleared of a black Ford Focus and a bronze car.

Hampshire police have been contacted for comment.
