British Transport Police arrested the man at Basingstoke train station
A MAN has been arrested for carrying a knife and being suspected of drug dealing.
Officers from the Richmond-branch of British Transport Police caught up with the individual at Basingstoke train station over the weekend as part of their Operation Auric.
Two further people were reported for drug offences.
It comes as Hampshire Constabulary launched a crackdown on the scourge of county lines, criminal activity which sees city drug dealers travel to towns like Basingstoke with the intent of supplying drugs.
