A MUM is warning other parents to be careful after she thought a man was going to snatch her baby.
Mimy Yogun was in the park behind Asda, in Brighton Hill on Thursday having a picnic with her baby when she was approached by a man at around 2.30pm.
She said: “My baby was on the blanket next to me. This guy was staring at us for 10 minutes then came over and started asking really weird questions about my baby. Like out of the blue, asking how old he was, what’s his name and the worst of all he asked if I’m here by myself.”
The mum described the man as in his early to mid-20s and dark skinned.
She said he then moved closer to her son, standing next to his head.
“It made me feel very uncomfortable and it looked as if he was going to snatch him and run,” she said, posting on Facebook.
Reacting on her instinct, Mimy quickly picked up her baby and told the man her partner was on his way before leaving.
Thankfully, Mimy only lives five minutes from the park and was able to get home quickly, while on the phone to her partner, Adam.
She had her phone camera ready to try and take a photo of the man, but said she was “too petrified” to turn back around.
Warning others about the incident, she said: “Please be careful if you’re there at the park with young kids.”
