WINCHESTER Road has reopened following a serious crash yesterday evening.

Police were called to the scene of the collision on Winchester Road, near where the road meets Sarum Hill at just before 10pm yesterday evening (April 21).

Police are now appealing for witnesses after the driver and passengers of the white BMW fled the scene of the car crash.

The white sports car was said to have clipped the Astra as it approached the right-hand bend where the road meets Sarum Hill.

Witnesses said the white car was "speeding" when it struck the Astra, causing it to spin around and smashing the front of the car.
