RESIDENTS at a Basingstoke care home enjoyed Easter in style, thanks to fun, games, and community generosity.
Staff and residents at Barchester’s Ashcombe House care home, on Worting Road, celebrated Easter with an eggs-tensive range of Easter activities, including an Easter cake competition, live church service and inter-home live Easter quiz.
They also enjoyed a visit from the Easter Bunny and tucked in to a delicious Easter meal of roast lamb with all the trimmings and a fantastic Easter cake prepared by the home’s chef Mark Winwood.
One resident of Ashcombe House, Margaret Moore, said: “It has been a lovely few days. We had a visit from Naomi the community Champion at Morrisons with Hot Cross Buns for everyone and a visit from the Easter Bunny delivering eggs was wonderful."
Louise Lambert, general manager, added: “As always, we’ve all been looking forward to Easter. It’s such a nice time of the year – the residents love all the colourful Easter eggs and decorations It’s really been an eggs-cellent few days!”
