IN THIS age of the selfie, many people have been lucky enough to have a snap with a celebrity – whether it’s a pop star doing a ‘Meet and Greet’ or an A-list actor walking down the street.

So we asked for your ‘celebrity selfies’ and you didn’t disappoint.

From “one of the greatest footballs to walk our planet” Cristiano Ronaldo to Prime Minister Boris Johnson, the Gazette readers came up with more than 200 celebrity selfies on our Facebook page.

Smartphones have made it easier than ever to grab a photo with a famous face when we are out and about.

And, Justin Ian Spencer has done just that.

Sharing a selfie with Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Justin said he took the photo at Basingstoke train station six years ago.

He added: “It was at Basingstoke train station about six years ago. I saw him getting off the train from Waterloo.

“He was in the carriage in front of me. I shouted ‘Boris’ as I got off the train and he turned round. We had a chat.

“This was just after [David] Cameron resigned and I asked him if he was going for the PM job and funny enough he said no. He said he was doing a presentation talk at a local business and then was driven off in a flashy black range rover.”

Jamie Clare shared a selfie with football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo from the time during which he was playing for Manchester United.

Sharing a photo of her son with comedian Michael McIntyre, Michelle Carter said: “This is my son last year at the Tesco petrol station in Chineham.”

Joanne Davies also recalled the time she took a photo with Thinking Out Loud singer Ed Sheeran, writing: “It was lovely to meet Ed Sheeran, definitely one of the most humble celebrities I’ve had the pleasure of mingling with.”

Rachel Cross shared her selfie with presenter Ant McPartlin and wrote: “I went to watch the Britain’s Got Talent auditions a few years ago and we saw him outside.”
