A 60-YEAR-OLD man has denied stealing more than £28,000 from Buzz Bingo in Basingstoke.
Geoffrey Hibbert, of Buckland Avenue, is accused of trespassing in the treasury room within a “private staff area” of the Leisure Park building on January 9 2020 and stealing £28,555.
Mr Hibbert appeared at Winchester Crown Court on Wednesday (March 31) and pleaded not guilty to the burglary charge.
The case was adjourned to April 14, when his co-defendant, Mr Elliot, will enter a plea.
However, Recorder Adam Feest QC set a provisional trial date of September 1 at the same court and granted Mr Hibbert unconditional bail.
