POLICE were called to a lockdown breach in Beggarwood on Saturday - where seven people had travelled from Southampton to play a shooting game in a wooded area.
Posting to Twitter, Basingstoke Cops confirmed that they were called at 10.13am on March 20 to reports of a group in a wooded area in Beggarwood, who had travelled from Southampton to play Airsoft.
They said: "Seven people have been reported for summons in relation to a fixed penalty notice after breaching current Health Protection Regulations."
Currently, people may meet with one other person from a different household outdoors, but 'stay local' guidance remains in place.
Airsoft is a competitive team game using gun replicas to shoot at your opponents.
