“To the worlds best dad you taught me everything I know, still can't believe you have gone but least you are now with mum, until we meet again, fly high my angel!” - This is just one of the many heart-breaking tributes people in Basingstoke have been leaving to loved ones they have lost to Covid-19.
They have shared their emotions – as messages and photos – in a tribute form for condolence set up by the Gazette.
As we mark the first anniversary of the first lockdown, it seems an important time to reflect on the grief and devastation experienced by so many.
The reality of the situation has been felt in every corner of Basingstoke, with many lives taken far too soon by Covid-19.
With an endless stream of statistics about cases and deaths, it’s sometimes easy to forget that behind every number is a person.
If you would like to send us a tribute to a friend or family member who died from coronavirus, please use the form below.
Please remember to include a photo of your loved one and their name along with your contact details so we can get in touch if needed.
Please note the contact details you provide will never be published.
