RESIDENTS of a residential street in Popley have woken up this morning (March 12) to major flooding around their houses.
Photos and videos show water running down Gilbert Close, swamping gardens, and pooling outside people's front doors.
UPDATE: Burst water main on Shetland Road causes flooding in Popley
It is believed to have been caused by a burst water pipe, but where the issue has stemmed from is yet to be confirmed.
It comes just one week after a sewage leak on nearby Glastonbury Close, which was not cleaned up for four days, leaving residents unable to come and go from their homes without walking through 'smelly human mess'.
The Gazette has contacted South East Water and Thames Water.
