A MAN has been taken to A&E after an accident at a Basingstoke hospital today.
BMI Healthcare confirmed that the incident took place this morning when an external engineer was on site to “perform routine work” on the hydrotherapy pool at BMI The Hampshire Clinic - a private hospital in Basing Road.
A spokesperson said: “He was taken to A&E following an accident and we wish him a speedy recovery.”
It is not known what injuries he suffered or how severe they are.
BMI Healthcare said the accident has been reported to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
The HSE has been asked for a statement.
