A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of a weapon offence after a sighting over the weekend.
Police have confirmed that a 24-year-old man from Basingstoke was arrested yesterday (March 7) on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon.
Basingstoke Cops wrote on Twitter: "This comes after a man was seen with a sword and a crossbow on Rossetti Close just before 6pm on Saturday."
The Gazette has contacted Hampshire Constabulary for comment.
