HAMPSHIRE police are continuing to search for Charles Knight, who was last seen leaving his parents' home on Harts Lane almost two weeks ago.

The 30-year-old went missing from the Burghclere area at 8.30am Wednesday February 17.

Yesterday, his family reiterated their appeal to the public to contact police about any suspected siting, no matter how distant.

On a Facebook post Charlies aunt Ann Knight wrote: “We lost Charlie’s father suddenly 7 years ago, and his grandmother just last year, these were two very prominent people in Charlie’s life. Charlie lived with his dad, they were extremely close, and Charlie has never gotten over the sudden death of his dad and subsequently his mental health has suffered as a result.

“He was recently staying with his mum receiving treatment, until he walked out at 8:30am on Feb 17th saying he was going for a walk, leaving behind his phone and wallet, no one has seen him since. His Knight side of the family have lost so much in recent years, we just cannot lose Charlie as well.”

Ann went on to express how thankful she is to everyone continuing to search for Charlie as the family are ‘devestatingly worried’.

This weekend concluded the last official search using professional search and rescue teams with his aunt stating ‘it will be down to family and friends, the general public’ to find Charlie.

Ann added: “We need a sign that he’s out there waiting to be found. Therefore, we are asking that if you think you see him while you’re out, (keeping in mind he may no longer look quite like he does in the photos) then please call out to him by his name, Charlie, Char, or Chiz, if they react then please immediately call 101 quoting reference 44210059947 and let them know.

“He could quite literally be anywhere by now, so please don’t give up, his two children are missing their daddy and his entire family need to know he is safe, someone must know something.”

Charles is described as being white, around 5ft 8ins tall with a slim build, with dark hair and a beard. He has tattoos on his arms and across his chest.

He was last seen wearing a green jacket, black trousers, and cargo walking boots. He was also wearing a green cap.

Last week police asked residents in Burghclere and the surrounding areas if they could assist by checking sheds, outbuildings and gardens.

They would also like to hear from any residents or businesses with CCTV that could help enquiries.

If you see Charles, members of the public are asked to call Hampshire Constabulary on 101 quoting incident 44210059947.
