A PARKOUR area for free-runners is being installed in Popley as part of £400,000 worth of improvements.
Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council is carrying out work to improve the play equipment and park features at Popley Community Park, in Popley Way, thanks to funding from developers’ contributions.
The children’s play park has now reopened following upgrades which includes a new junior and toddler play area.
Other improvements will include seating, perimeter fencing, an outdoor gym, teen play zone, tree planting, wildlife friendly new hedges and spring bulb planting.
The new parkour area is still under construction and is expected to be finished in March this year.
