WITH the nation's third lockdown now in its fifth week, it may be hard to think of new things to do at the weekend.

Whether it be working from home, Zoom quizzes of watching Netflix, our lives seem to have revolved around the indoors over the last year, since the government told us to stay at home last spring.

But one of the few reasons you are allowed to leave your home is to exercise, whether that be to go for a run, a leisurely walk or even a bike ride.

And thankfully in Basingstoke, we're blessed with some beautiful green spaces to enjoy whilst out on our daily walk.

If you live in the town centre, you can take a trip to the likes of War Memorial and Eastrop Parks, and if you live in the rural areas of the borough, you're in the middle of miles of rolling countryside.

And with Valentine's this weekend, a romantic walk may be a great way to spend the day in lieu of the usual celebrations.

So we've decided to have a look at the weather forecast to see when the best time is for you to get out and get some fresh air.

Saturday

According to the Met Office forecast, as of Friday, Saturday is looking like the best day weather-wise.

The chance of rain, or even snow, is no higher than ten per cent all day.

But, it is likely to be cloudy for most of the day, so an early alarm to see the sunrise might not be rewarded.

Sunrise is at 07.22, with the sun setting at 17.16.
