BEING stuck inside during lockdown can really take its toll on both your physical and mental health.

So this weekend, why not pop on some walking boots or trainers and head out for a walk.

Sometimes overlooked as a form of exercise, walking can help you build stamina, burn excess calories and make your heart healthier.

And you don’t have to travel to find a rewarding walk.

Towns and cities offer interesting walks, including parks, canal towpaths, riverside paths, commons, woodlands, heaths and nature reserves.

Here is the best time to head out for a walk this weekend according to the weather forecast.

If walking routes in your area are busy, why not try heading out early in the morning to watch the sunrise at 7.54am, you won’t catch many people out at that time.
