Lines around Basingstoke will be closed this weekend for engineering work, causing changes to South Western Railway services.
On Saturday, January 9, the line between Basingstoke and Winchester will be closed all day. Replacement buses will be in operation, while a revised service between Basingstoke and London Waterloo will be in place.
On Sunday, January 10, the line will be closed from Andover to Weybridge, encompassing Basingstoke station, as well as from Basingstoke to Winchester.
Replacement bus services will be in place between Basingstoke, via Woking and on to Weybridge, where the line is open and trains can be caught on to London Waterloo.
Those travelling to Basingstoke from Waterloo should travel to Guildford and change for a replacement bus service, while those travelling to Andover or stations towards Exeter should also catch a replacement bus.
For further information, those planning to travel this weekend should check South Western Railway’s website to plan their journey.
