ANOTHER 82 Covid-19 cases were confirmed in Basingstoke and Deane yesterday, bringing the seven-day total to 591.
Ten patients were admitted to Hampshire Hospitals on December 31, and three people died in the borough yesterday within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19.
Over the last week, the number of cases in the borough have increased by almost 50 per cent, with Tuesday seeing the highest ever daily case count of 105 new cases.
The latest figures bring the borough’s cumulative total of Covid cases to 3,860.
This gives the area a rolling rate (per 100,000k of the population) of 275.8.
Nationally, 55,892 people tested positive for the virus and 964 people died on December 31. A total of 2,433 people were admitted to hospital yesterday across the country.
