A Basingstoke man has been given a curfew after admitting to public order offences.

Samuel Vincent Rolfe, of Cayman Close, admitted to causing harassment, alarm or distress to Gary and Michelle Dickman by using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour in Oakridge on December 19.

The Popley resident also admitted returning the following day.

Appearing at Basingstoke Magistrates Court last week, the 20-year-old was given a four-week curfew, to be monitored by an electronic tag.

He must be at his home address between 10pm and 6am on Mondays to Thursdays.

Rolfe must also take part in 15 rehabilitation activity days.

A man who was awaiting trial after denying assault has breached his bail conditions.

Nicholas David Anthony Poet, of Minley Road in Farnborough, is accused of assaulting a woman in Basingstoke on August 18.

He was bailed in November on the condition not to contact the complainant or enter a road in Farnborough.

However, appearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court last week, Poet admitted to breaching his bail conditions on December 19.

The 28-year-old has been rebailed and denies assault and criminal damage, but has admitted resisting a police officer in the execution of her duty.

A Hatch Warren man drove at almost 80 miles per hour in a 40mph zone.

Gellert Lorincz, of Matilda Drive, was spotted driving his Audi A3 on the A340 in Monk Sherborne at 79mph.

Pleading guilty via single justice procedure at Aldershot Magistrates’ Court last week, the case was adjourned for a full court hearing when a date is available.

Two men from Basingstoke have denied assault.

Adam Hunt, 22 of Tennyson Way, and Nathan O’Connor, of Winterthur Way, are accused of assaulting Trinity Goodall in Basingstoke on July 7.

24-year-old O’Connor is also accused of assaulting Nathan Facey on the same day.

The men, who have pleaded not guilty to all charges, have been released on unconditional bail until the trial starts at Aldershot Magistrates’ Court on June 25.

A Basingstoke woman accused of assault has been found not guilty.

Emma Jane Saunders, of Butler Close, was alleged to have assaulted Nicholas Goodenough in Basingstoke on February 5.

However, she was found not guilty of the offence at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court last week.

The 37-year-old had previously admitted damaging the front door of a property on Gracemere Crescent and the window of a Volvo that belonged to Mr Goodenough.

It caused £390 of damage, which Saunders was ordered to pay in compensation.

There was no costs or victim surcharge ordered, and the assault charge was dismissed.

A man from Birmingham has been given a fine after he was found he was found driving on the M3 with no insurance.

Robert Kinsiona, of Meyrick Walk, was driving his Vauxhall Astra on the M3 at Basingstoke on September 2 when he had no insurance.

The 50-year-old was proved guilty via single justice procedure at Aldershot Magistrates’ Court last week.

Kinsiona was fined £660 and given six penalty points on his licence.

He was also ordered to pay costs of £90 and a victim surcharge of £66.
