Three men have admitted attempting to assault a man in Basingstoke last year, but denied grievous bodily harm.
Shaun Jonathon Gray, of Old Worting Road; Richard Tulfer Louth, of Whitestones; and Bradley Taylor, of Falkland Road, had been charged with the attempted grievous bodily harm (GBH) of Mark Thorpe between December 7 and December 9 last year.
All three entered not guilty pleas on the charge at Winchester Crown Court on December 23.
They all admitted to attempted actual bodily harm, with the Crown Prosecution Service not seeking a trial on the GBH charge.
The Recorder of Winchester, Judge Cutler CBE, ordered that pre-sentence reports be prepared for all three men, with sentencing to take place on January 29, where both charges will be assessed by the sitting judge.
All three were remanded on unconditional bail.
