The 28-year-old has denied the charges, and will appear at Aldershot Magistrates' Court on March 26 for the trial.

He has been released on conditional bail, and must not go to The Wheatsheaf except for work purposes, and must not live or sleep there.

A Basingstoke man has denied assaulting a police officer whilst drunk.

Maurice Patrick Bradbury, also known as Morris, was charged with assaulting PO Daniel Tompkins on May 10.

The offence happened the same day he was allegedly stopped by police whilst driving his Volkswagen Golf on West Ham Roundabout.

He was given a breath test, where he allegedly was found to be more than three times over the drink-drive limit.

Police say he had 123 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath - where the legal limit is 35.

Bradbury, of Bolton Crescent, pleaded not guilty to both charges and has been released on unconditional bail, pending the trial at Aldershot Magistrates' Court on June 4.

A man who was caught driving whilst disqualified will stand trial next year.

The 33-year-old has been charged with resisting PC Lee Coleshill in the execution of his duty, as well as assaulting PO Daniel Carter.

A man who assaulted a police officer in Odiham failed to complete the community service he was given as punishment, a court has heard.

Alexander Hunter, of Newfield Road, Liss, was convicted of assaulting PC Briggs on August 25, 2019 on Farnham Road, Odiham.

He was given a community order on October 31, 2019, which saw him instructed to carry out unpaid work.

However, Basingstoke Magistrates' Court heard last week that the 33-year-old failed to carry out the required amount of community service.

Admitting the breach, Hunter was given a curfew, to be monitored by an electronic tag.

He must not leave his home address between 7pm and 5am for four months.
