Police are appealing for witnesses after two men were assaulted on King Arthur’s Way, with one sustaining “serious injuries.”
The incident happened between 5.15pm and 5.35pm on Saturday, November 28, when the victim was walking through the car park of The Merlin Pub.
Police said that the 39-year-old got into “an altercation” with a group, with one of the men in the group assaulting the victim.
The victim was subsequently taken to North Hampshire Hospital in Basingstoke for treatment for a head injury.
Another 39-year-old was also assaulted, and received minor injuries.
Having made enquiries, police are now appealing for witness to assist them with their investigation.
They said: “Were you in the area at the time? Perhaps you have camera or dash-cam footage that could assist in our investigation?
