MORE Covid cases were confirmed in Basingstoke and Deane yesterday than in any other district of Hampshire.
26 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in the borough yesterday, the highest in the county.
Across the Hampshire County Council area on Sunday - which does not include the cities of Southampton or Portsmouth - 156 new positive tests were recorded, with Basingstoke and Deane responsible for 16.7 per cent of them.
Havant, Fareham and Eastleigh came next on the list, with 20, 18 and 17 new cases recorded respectively.
Hart and Gosport recorded the least amount of new cases, with 6 positive tests announced.

- East Hampshire - 14
- Test Valley - 12
- New Forest - 12
- Winchester - 10

- Gosport - 6
In the cities of Southampton and Portsmouth - which are not part of Hampshire County Council and therefore are not part of the Hampshire statistics - 36 and 41 new cases were recorded respectively.
