YOUTUBE stars Zoella and Alfie Deyes have unveiled detailed plans for their newly purchased Brighton loft.

The couple reportedly splashed £1.9 million on the building in the North Laine district and have been given permission to convert the building into a commercial office space.

In a video on his YouTube Channel, Alfie Deyes told his 3.68 million followers that there had been “big” changes made to the space over the last few weeks.

The property in Vine Street, Brighton will be the permanent home for the couple’s respective businesses.

Mr Dayes said:“I’ve lived in Brighton all my life and buying an office space in Brighton has just solidified my business and Zoe’s business in Brighton and Hove, which is somewhere I can’t imagine myself not being.”

Work has been underway for several weeks, with big structural changes being made, as well as more decorative alterations.

The 27-year-old said he wanted the property in to look and feel like a “New York loft apartment.”

The upstairs has already been transformed after a dividing wall was knocked down to create a large meeting space.

There are also plans for further construction, including creating a “secret door” behind the downstairs kitchen, leading into a new photo studio.

In the video, Mr Deyes said: “We have looked into the structure of the building, we had a specialist come in and check the weight distribution to see if we could take the wall out, which we can, and move the piping aside so we can take this bit of wall out, which will go through to the next room.”

New editions also include exposed brick walls, a glass panelled staircase and even a safety gate for the office dogs.

While the couple have previously worked together to renovate their home in Brighton, Ms Sugg, 30, said “renovating an office is very different to renovating a house.”

Having previously rented a commercial office, the couple said that this new space is a “joint” investment.

Zoella said: “We always had the intention of buying somewhere eventually and it was perfect that this came up.”

Ms Sugg has previously received criticism after it was revealed that she was paying a staff member from the government’s coronavirus furlough scheme, despite her business booming during lockdown.
