FIVE more people have today been arrested in a Basingstoke murder probe.

It brings the total number of people arrested in the investigation of the death of Frazer Brabant to 15.

34-year-old Frazer was attacked in Brighton Hill on Halloween 2019, reportedly with a hammer.

He was rushed to Southampton hospital and put in a coma, but never recovered and died on January 21 of this year.

Now, five men from Basingstoke have been taken into custody in connection with the incident.

They are aged 27, 25, 28, 22 and 32, and are all from Basingstoke.

All were arrested this morning (Tuesday), and all remain in custody.

Frazer was attacked in the garden of a property on Gershwin Road on October 31, 2019. He suffered serious head injuries.

Five people were arrested in November 2019 on suspicion of conspiracy to murder - all of whom were released but remain under investigation.

Then in June, six people, including one previously arrested in November 2019, were taken into custody. Again, all were released under investigation.

No one has ever been charged in connection with the incident.
