THERE were eight positive cases of COVID-19 among players and staff at Premier League clubs in the latest round of tests.
The Premier League revealed the results on Monday after 1,575 tests were done between October 12 and October 18.
Burnley full-back Phil Bardsley, who missed the Clarets’ goalless draw with West Brom on Monday, is known to be among the eight.
The individuals who have tested positive are required to self-isolate for a period of 10 days.
Monday’s figure is up from the five players and staff who tested positive the previous week.
