THE TRIAL of three people charged in connection with the murder of a teenager in Basingstoke has been restarted.
Taylor Williams, who was 18, was stabbed to death in an incident in Shooters Way, Oakridge, on August 31, 2019.
Three people have been charged in connection with the incident - including two of murder.
Olamide Soyege, 28 from Dagenham, and Terence Maccabee, 19 from Southwark are charged with murder as well as robbery and knife possession offences, whilst Paige Taylor, 23 from Basingstoke is accused of robbery. They deny all charges.
The trio had been standing trial at Winchester Crown Court in March before the coronavirus pandemic forced its suspension.
Today (Monday), the trial has been restarted, with a new jury due to be sworn in tomorrow.
The trial is expected to last 4-5 weeks.
