GILLINGHAM White Hart Market was cancelled in the early hours of this morning after a tyre on the trailer carrying all the kit burst.
Organised by the town team and the Anonymous Travelling Market, the new monthly event had hoped to bring more people and traders to the town and “bring some life back into the High Street”.
A post on Facebook said: "Unfortunately due to a burst tyre on the trailer carrying all the kit required to close High Street had a burst tyre at 5:30 this morning.
"8m West of Shaftesbury & awaiting recovery. Without this kit we have had to cancel this event.
"ATM Events would like to apologise to the people of Gillingham Dorset - we were really looking forwards to this event."
