Police are looking for help to find an elderly missing hospital patient.

Eighty-six-year-old Ralph Carine went missing from Winchester hospital this afternoon.

He was last seen at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital on Romsey Road, at 2.30pm today (Tuesday, September 29).

Later, just after 4pm, it is believed he was seen walking in the Stockbridge area.

A spokesman for the police said: "We are carrying out a number of enquiries to locate him however we are growing increasingly concerned for this welfare. Have you seen him?"

Ralph has been described as being a white male, 5ft 7in in height, very slim build with blue eyes and white hair. He is described as being unshaven with stubble on his face.

The pensioner was last seen wearing grey trousers, a green-y grey jumper, grey moccasins slippers while carting a green jumper and hospital gown.

Ralph is still wearing his name band and allergy band, police said.

A spokesman said: "Have you seen Ralph or know where he might be?

"Any sightings, please call 101 and quote incident number 718 of today’s date (29/9)."
