A MYSTERY package turned up at Tadley Fire Station, which turned out to contain incident books dating from 1977 to 1995.

In a tweet earlier this month, the station said the parcel has arrived when nobody was in, and they have no idea who sent it to them.

It read: "Last week we had a mystery parcel delivered to the station whilst nobody was here.

"To our surprise the parcel contained incident books covering 1st Jan 1977 to Dec 1995. We've no idea who sent these to us but we're happy to have them back. #Tadley #history #memories"

Incident books, or logbooks, are kept by stations to record the incidents they attend.

The items returned to the station were met with excitement from some Twitter followers.

One commenter said: "Love a bit of history!"

Another said: "Amazing! Would be great if you can share some from the years!"
