PIZZA Hut at Brighton Hill Retail Park is the latest Basingstoke business to fall, as the chain includes it on its list of restaurant closures.
It comes after Pizza Hut announced it would be shutting 29 of its UK branches in a a company voluntary arrangement (CVA) restructuring deal, affecting a total of around 450 jobs.
The full list of stores was released this morning:
The chain says it cannot share the exact number of job losses at each location.
A Pizza Hut Restaurants spokesperson said: “We are doing everything we can to redeploy our team members from our Pizza Hut Restaurants locations that are closing and minimise the impact to our workforce. We are therefore unable to share exact job loss numbers for each Hut.
"We understand this is a difficult time for everyone involved and are supporting our team members as much as possible throughout this transition."
The company previously said the decision had been taken following "significant distruption" from the pandemic, but that the locations, jobs and operations of all Pizza Hut Delivery and other their franchises would be unaffected.
Pizza Hut Basingstoke Festival Place will remain open.
