THE following cases appeared at Reading Magistrates' Court.

August 7:

RICHARD CUTTING, 53, of Great Knollys Street, Reading, admitted drug-driving in Thornton News, Reading, on January 14, 2020. Found to have cannabis in his system. fined £120. Also ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.

FRANK TRUSSLER, 34, of Wokingham Road, Reading, convicted of using a vehicle without the correct insurance on the A4 London Road, Reading, on February 12, 2019. Fined £200. Also ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for six months.

ALEXANDER DAY, 30, of Carpenters close, Newbury, admitted drink-driving in Tilehurst Road, Reading on November 14, 2019. Fined £120. Also ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge and £300 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.

MARK BAKERMAULT, 63, of Pottery Road, Reading, admitted drink-driving at the junction of Basingstoke Road and Christchurch Gardens in Reading on September 8, 2019. Found to have 91mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, the legal limit being 35mcg. Also admitted driving without due care and attention at the same location on September 8, 2019. Given a community order to comply with rehabilitation activity and must undertake 120 hours unpaid work. Also ordered to pay £90 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 40 months.

DAWN LYNCH, 46, of Crescent Road, Reading, admitted fraud by false representation by using two bank cards not in her name to buy food from Reading on July 22, 2020. Also admitted possession of class A drug cocaine at Loddon Valley Police Station on August 6, 2020, and possession of crack cocaine on the same occasion at the same police station. Also admitted stealing two bank cards in Reading on July 22, 2020. Given a community order to comply with rehabilitation activity. Also ordered to pay £96 victim surcharge and £40 court costs.

August 10:

KEVIN BROWN, 44, of Eldart Close, Reading, admitted theft by finding after taking a TV and coffee machine worth £154.99 from Reading service rooms. Given a conditional discharge for 18 months. Also ordered to pay £154.99 and must pay £32 victim surcharge.

PAUL FEE, 39, of Rembrandt Way, Reading, admitted stealing four boxes of chocolates worth £55.96 from P Sonning Cutting Petrol Station in Woodley on January 6, 2020. Fined £160 and ordered to pay £55.96 compensation. Also ordered to pay £85 court costs.

BRADLEY LIGHTOWLER, 21, of Mylum Close, Reading, admitted failing to comply with requirements of a community order by not attending unpaid work on March 1, 2020. Fined £50.

August 11:

ANTHONY WARD, 35, of Battle Square, Reading, admitted possession of an offensive weapon - namely a knife - in Northumberland Avenue in Reading on March 2, 2020. Also admitted possession of class B drug in Reading on March 2, 2020. Given a community order to comply with rehabilitation activity and must undertake 40 hours unpaid work. Also ordered to pay £90 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.

CHRISTOPHER FLYNN, 49, of Bath Road, Newbury, admitted remaining in or entering premises in contravention of a closure order or nuisance order in Newbury on June 19, 2020. Fined £40. Also ordered to pay £34 victim surcharge.

PAUL BRINDLEY, 52, of Halifax Place, Thatcham, admitted using a vehicle without the correct insurance in Paynesdown Road, Thatcham, on September 7, 2019. Fined £100. Also ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Six points added to driving licence.
