THE following cases appeared at Reading Magistrates' Court.

July 31:

GARY COOKE, 59, of Beatty Drive, Reading, admitted drink-driving in Beatty Drive, Reading, on February 17, 2020. Found to have 109mlg of alcohol in 100ml of blood, the legal limit being 80mlg. Also admitted using a vehicle without the correct insurance or licence in Beatty Drive, Reading, on February 17, 2020. Also admitted fraudulently using a registration mark or registration document that was not the true identity of the vehicle, and admitted using a vehicle without the correct valid rest certificate in Reading on February 17, 2020. Fined £675. Also ordered to pay £67 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for six months.

MATTHEW COONEY, 34, of Fairford Road, Reading, admitted drink-driving in Westridge Avenue, Reading, on June 6, 2020. Found to have 142mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, the legal limit being 35mcg. Sentenced for 26 weeks in prison suspended for 18 months due to severity offence. Requirements include rehabilitation activity and must undertake 200 hours of unpaid work. Also ordered to pay £128 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 36 months.

THOMAS FINNEY, 27, of Beechwood Close, Reading, admitted drink-driving in Icknield Road, Reading, on June 6, 2020. Found to have 49mcg of alcohol in 100m of breath, the legal limit being 35mcg. Fined £200. Also ordered to pay £34 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 14 months.

KRAIG MORLEY, 27, of Mant Close, Newbury, admitted drink-driving on the A34 in Speen, Newbury, on June 9, 2020. Found to have 48mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath, the legal limit being 35mcg. Fined £120. Also ordered to pay £34 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. disqualified from driving for 14 months.

CARL SMITH, 41, of Burbridge Close, Reading, admitted possession of an offensive weapon namely a butterfly knife in Station Road, Reading, on November 24, 2019, and admitted possession of class A drug cocaine in Reading on November 24, 2019. Given a community order to comply with rehabilitation activity and must undertake 120 hours of unpaid work. Also ordered to pay £90 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.

August 3: KEANAN TATE, 18, of Addams Mews, Reading, admitted criminal damage to a pan of glass and a hole in an internal door in Reading on January 15, 2020. Fined £80. Also ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.

REECE HEFFERNAN, 20, of Don Close, Reading, admitted possession of class B drug cannabis in Reading on October 29, 2019, and admitted possession of class A drug cocaine in Reading on October 29, 2019. Fined £80. Ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.

MARCUS PHILLIPS, 30, of Oxford Road, Reading, admitted stealing three bottles of Jack Daniels Whiskey worth £66 from Sainsbury's in Reading on June 8, 2020. Fined £80. Also ordered to pay £32 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.

August 4:

TRACEY BARRETT, 45, of Willow Street, Reading, admitted persistently begging in public - namely Oxford Road, Reading - on May 30, 2020. Given a conditional discharge for 12 months. Also ordered to pay £22 victim surcharge and £30 court costs.

KYLE HORNE, 20, of Royal Avenue, Reading, admitted drug-driving in Mill Lane, Reading, on January 4, 2020. Found to have cannabis in his blood. Fined £100. Also ordered to pay £34 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 12 months.

LUKE DENNIS, 34, of Thirlmere Avenue, Reading, admitted possession of class B drug cannabis in Reading on January 22, 2020, and admitted driving while disqualified on the A4 Bath Road, Reading, on January 22, 2020. Also admitted drug-driving on the A4 Bath Road, Reading, on January 22, 2020. Found to have cannabis and cocaine in his system. Also admitted of using a vehicle without the correct insurance in Reading on January 22, 2020. Sentenced to six weeks in prison suspended for 18 months. Also ordered to pay £122 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Disqualified from driving for 36 months.
