Dear editor,
I realise this is not front page news, but this disgusting smell that has lingered over the Sherfield area in recent days and has so a few other times has become much worse this evening Tuesday.
It permeates into our home so have to go indoors and close doors and windows which isn't much fun in this weather.
I have lived here for over 30 years and worked on the lane so am used to manure smell. This is not that. I think it is coming from the sewage farm in Chineham.
I am contacting The Gazette on this as you have obviously more avenues to come to a conclusion than I do. Has anyone else noticed it? I think it is just something that needs an answer.
