ROADS and homes were flooded in Highworth after last night’s thunder storm hit.
Drains overflowed and several houses were affected.
Thames Water and a fire crew from Stratton in Swindon were called at 6.21pm.
Firefighters drained the water away from Orange Close using a major pump.
A spokesman for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Rescue said: “We attended the area using a major pump to drain all the water away from the streets. We were assisted by Thames Water in Orange Close and we left at 7.20pm.”
