Pictures show motorists are still using Chapel Hill, despite the closure to all traffic apart from buses
I am a resident of South View and I certainly do not applaud the closures at Chapel Hill and Vyne Road.
They divert traffic away from non-residential roads through tightly-packed residential roads thus increasing pollution levels and making those roads more dangerous for pedestrians.
They make shortish journeys through and across town longer, again adding to to pollution levels.
They do nothing at all to make social distancing easier for pedestrians.
All this disruption simply to add about 40m of cycle path under Vyne Rd bridge, which on evidence so far is barely used.
