MEMBERS of the public are being invited to line the streets to pay their respects to a dad and his two children killed while out walking on Father's Day.

The funeral of Joshua, Coby-Jay and Skylar Flynn will be held at Thorncliffe Crematorium, Barrow on Thursday.

The funeral cortege will leave the Flynn family home address before pausing at Furness Academy, Park Drive at 10:05am.

The family have invited members of the public to pay their respects by lining Park Drive, or at Devonshire Road near to the entrance to the Crematorium as the cortege approaches from Thorncliffe Road.

Those that do attend at those designated areas are asked to remember the current government guidance around the coronavirus and to be mindful of social distancing.

The funeral will be private, and members of the public and media are asked not to attend the Crematorium building.

Joshua James Flynn, 37, along with his son Coby-Jay, 15, and 12-year-old daughter Skylar, died along with their beloved Yorkshire terrier, Troy, after they were hit by a car while walking along Abbey Road, Dalton at around 2-30pm on Sunday, 21st June.

The Flynn family said: “We are utterly heartbroken and upset by the loss."
