SHOPPERS will be delighted to know they can get free car parking from 3pm until 2am every evening from tomorrow.

The Lexicon announced the new car parking scheme as a way to help residents wishing to shop or eat out in the town centre.

Free parking will start from Tuesday, July 7, until September 2020.

This will apply at Princess Square car park, which has more than 500 car parking spaces for people visiting the Lexicon.

Rob Morris, general manager at The Lexicon, said: “We hope that the free parking in the evenings at Princess Square will in a small way help people wishing to shop and dine at The Lexicon.

“We look forward to welcoming our shoppers back to the town centre and would ask that everyone observes the safety measures in place to ensure a safe visit for all.”

One manager believes this is a positive move to help residents visit the town centre without having to pay for parking.

Hazel Corrigan store manager for Boots in Bracknell, added: “We’ve had such positive feedback from our customers regarding the free parking initiative in Princess Square and look forward to welcoming them back to our store soon.”
