Two teenagers have been arrested after shop staff were threatened at knife-point.
Earlier this month, the Gazette reported how on March 15, two suspects entered Bhuller store in St Peter's Road and one threatened staff with a knife and demanded cash.
Staff were quick to respond and chased the pair out of the store empty handed.
Police have today revealed that they have since arrested two people in connection with the incident.
"Both boys were arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery," a Hampshire Constabulary spokeswoman said.
"A 19-year-old from Basingstoke has been given conditional bail.
"A 17-year-old from Basingstoke has been released under investigation.
"Police enquiries are ongoing. If you have any information about the crime, please get in touch by calling 101 and quoting reference 44200096999."
