Three teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and witness intimidation.
Officers from Hampshire Constabulary conducted a search of a home in Sperrin Close on June 26 following the arrest of a 15-year-old boy in relation to an assault.
"We were called at 5.30pm on June 25 to reports of an assault on Reading Road, Sherfield-on-Loddon," a police spokesman said.
"The victim, a 17-year-old boy, suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries.
"Two 15-year-old boys, two 16-year-old boys, and a 17-year-old boy, all from Basingstoke, were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent and witness intimidation."
They remain in custody at this time.
